German Autocentre is an independent Jaguar garage in Sheffield providing specialist diagnostics, repairs and servicing as an alternative to visiting a Jaguar main dealer.

Our JLR Master Tech-level trained technicians work from a well-equipped workshop with 16 vehicle ramps. This gives us the capacity and equipment to inspect, diagnose and repair a wide range of Jaguar mechanical, electrical, engine and gearbox problems.

If you need a Jaguar mechanic to investigate a warning light, unusual noise or change in performance, we will complete the appropriate checks before recommending a repair. We do not rely on a fault code alone or replace components without investigating the underlying cause.

JLR Dealer-Level Diagnostics and Fault Finding

Our technicians use JLR-compatible dealer-level diagnostic software to communicate with compatible Jaguar control units and access relevant vehicle data.

Depending on the fault, our diagnostic process may include:

• Reading and interpreting fault codes
• Reviewing live vehicle data
• Testing sensors and electrical circuits
• Checking communication between control units
• Carrying out guided diagnostic procedures
• Performing compatible adaptations and resets
• Coding compatible replacement components

DPF, EGR, turbocharger and AdBlue systems are closely connected. We investigate the underlying cause of warning lights, increased fuel consumption, loss of power and restricted-performance mode before recommending cleaning, replacement parts or repair work.

A fault code is the starting point of an investigation rather than an instruction to replace a component. Any recommended repair will be based on the results of the appropriate tests and inspections.

Jaguar Gearbox and Transmission Problems

Many Jaguar models use ZF automatic transmissions that require the correct diagnostic and servicing procedures.

Applicable Jaguar models can develop air-suspension faults involving the compressor or pump, air leaks, height sensors, wiring or control systems. Symptoms can include suspension warnings, uneven vehicle height or the vehicle dropping while parked.

We also provide Jaguar brake-pad and brake-disc replacement, brake-fluid servicing, wheel alignment and tracking. Where replacement tyres are required, we can supply options from premium, mid-range and budget brands.

An annual MOT can also be arranged where required.

We can also arrange an MOT alongside your Jaguar service.

Where the vehicle and completed work are eligible, German Autocentre can update the Jaguar digital service record or online service history. We will also provide documentation showing the work completed and the parts, oils and fluids used.
